The origin of the Brazilian coffee

Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer, growing both robusta and arabica varieties (3.3 million tons of coffee in 2023, one third of world production).

Since the 18th century, thanks to the Portuguese Francisco de Melo Palheta, who smuggled coffee beans out of French Guiana and established the first plantation in Rio de Janeiro.

The Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association was formed, and standards were developed to regulate coffee production and quality in Brazil's domestic market. Through competitions such as the Cup of Excellence, regions as diverse as Piata, Araponga, Vale da Grama, Piraju and Carmo de Minas established themselves as areas with unique microclimates suitable for producing world-class coffees.

With Flor D'Cafe Brazil coffee, we support the regeneration of one of the most famous coffee growing regions in the world, a 277-hectare area located in the Vale Da Grama region, near São Sebastião da Grama. When you choose our coffee, you will be part of this common effort and contribute to the work of the producers.

Thank you for being with us in this!
